Hey, home chefs.
Today on Sip Bite Go we're making a delicious white pizza sauce recipe. It's kind of like an Alfredo style pizza sauce that tastes really great with bacon, spinach, mushrooms and a steak pizza like this one. It is actually a Philly style steak pizza recipe that you can also find at my blog.
So today I'm going to take you in the kitchen and we're going to make this delicious white sauce that you can put all over your pizzas. Let's do it. So in a small pan, heat up some olive oil and garlic for a few minutes until the garlic is translucent, and then you remove it from the heat so it doesn't continue cooking.
You don't want it to burn. Then you need to make a roux. So a roux is actually a mixture of flour and fat. In this case, we're using butter and it's going to form the base of this white pizza sauce recipe. You only need to mix the roux for about one minute until it turns a little light brown color and bubbles, and then you can add in the cold milk.
Now we're really getting going with this white sauce. All right. So you turn that up to high heat, and once the milk mixture with the roux is bubbling, just like it looks here, you're going to add in the other ingredients and turn down the heat. So in goes the garlic oil, the salt and pepper,
Italian spices, and last but not least the Parmesan cheese. This is fresh grated Parmesan cheese, and it's so good in this white garlic pizza sauce. So you mix that all together. You turn the burner off at this point, and then it's going to kind of start, you know, it's still cooking a little bit, and then you add in fresh parsley and then take it off the heat completely. You don't want it to continue cooking.
And now is a good time to transfer it to a bowl. So you can leave it out on the counter if you're going to throw together the pizza now, or you could put it in the fridge. Just to let you know though, if you put the white sauce in the fridge, it might harden a little bit because the cheese is going to go back to like a semi-solid state, which is completely fine. That's what I used on this pizza.
I just used the cheese. It was already kind of cooled down and it melted and got super bubbly when I put the pizza in the oven. So this is a delicious white pizza sauce recipe for steak pizzas like this one.
This is my Philly cheese steak recipe, Philly cheese steak pizza recipe, and it's ready in about 15 minutes in the oven. Isn't it so good? You can check out this recipe on my blog for the complete step-by-step tutorial.
